Election fraud.
This forum is opened for those who wish to discuss voting fraud-- the methods that have been used to steal elections through various methods, some of which are outlined below.
The following "Letter to the Editor" has been sent and has been made available for others to use in their own papers, or however they may wish (author's permission has been given). Here is the letter:
Dear Editor,
The debate about the best candidate for President is moot if our elections can be manipulated. If elections can be stolen through voting machine hacking, and other fraudulent methods, our elections and democracy are a sham! The overwhelming evidence of election fraud in the past two Presidential elections has been reported to Congress, and outlined in books and videos (e.g.Hacking Democracy, and Uncounted), yet little to nothing about these heinous crimes are reported in the corporate media. It should outrage every American that their votes can be changed, and the results of elections corrupted!!
The documented methods used to corrupt elections include: undetectable electronic voting machine hacking; insufficient number and broken voting machines in key precincts (long lines led to up to 80% loss of votes in Ohio, 2004); voter intimidation; cars towed at polls; barriers for voting registration; caging (illegally removing registered voters from the rolls); re-drawn precincts; and others. Researchers estimate that 75,000 votes were stolen from Kerry in Ohio using these methods. These tactics will likely be used again to corrupt the 2008 election, which Americans would never knowingly permit-- the problem is that most Americans are uneducated as to what is happening. Do not take my word for any of this; open your eyes to election fraud by doing your own research-- visit http://www.nomorestolenelections.org/ and other sources, study the facts, and then take action to help insure our votes count, and our elections are not a mockery.

...(long lines led to as much as 80% of the people standing in line in certain precincts to give up and not vote in Ohio, 2004)...

The "LINK" channel ("275 on DirecTV) takes no money from corporate sources, and presents information not found where corporate influence can suppress it. Look for programs on LINK, such as "The Corporation," "Stealing Democracy," "Orwell Rolls In His Grave," and others.
Stealing Democracy outlines the methods being used to corrupt elections, explaining these tactics in detail, as found by the courageous researchers who continue to expose them. A real eye-opener for most Americans.

A correction to the LINK channel number on DirecTV-- it is actually 375 not 275 as given earlier. LINK may appear on a different channel on another satellite or cable service provider.

We are on the eve of one of the most historic elections of our time. And the last thing America needs right now is another election that leaves us uncertain of its legitimacy.
Unfortunately, there are enough shenanigans going on to raise serious concerns.
The biggest of them all: Attorney General Mukasey and the Department of Justice (DOJ) are walking away from their sacred responsibility to guarantee smooth and fair elections.
While the government is engaged in a highly-publicized attempt to raise the specter of voter fraud against groups who have been working hard to register poor and minority voters, DOJ is doing little, if anything, to deal with the real problem --hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of registered voters who may turn up on Election Day just to be turned away.
I just asked the DOJ to take decisive action before Election Day to protect the right to vote for everyone. You can do the same here:
Election officials should concentrate their limited resources on expanding access to the ballot box and protecting voters. Demand that the Department of Justice act to protect voting rights.

I saw it with my own eyes: The Bush and GOP machine stole the 2000 election and the presidency in Florida (not to mention Ohio in 2004) and the results have been catastrophic for our nation and the world.
Don't take my word for it - read the dissent of Supreme Court Justices Stevens, Breyer and Ginsberg in the absurd legal decision of Bush v. Gore: "Although we may never know with complete certainty the identity of the winner of this year's Presidential election, the identity of the loser is perfectly clear. It is the Nation's confidence in the judge as an impartial guardian of the rule of law."
Back in 2000, in Florida, I witnessed the votes of World War II veterans thrown away and GOP thugs bully the Miami Dade elections office into stopping a recount. I swore to myself that never again would the votes of Americans be thrown away and replaced by the votes of appointed judges. Following the 2000 election, I spent 7 years fighting to remove the DIEBOLD electronic machines from Florida and to install a voter verified paper trail which we accomplished last year.
I have bad news: They are trying again to silence our votes.
Most people associate the 2000 election with paper "chads" and the Supreme Court's tragic decision. Yet the voter suppression in 2000 went way beyond not counting votes – from illegal roadblocks near minority precincts to the complete purging of legitimate voters from the rolls through what is called "voter caging "– the practice of using databases to improperly delete voters.
Now, we are seeing signs of voter caging again in both Michigan and Florida.
In Michigan, the state is using a list of foreclosures to purge voters (many of which are still legitimate voters in their districts).
In Florida, my home state, the Republican led Supervisor of Elections is aggressively applying a new law designed to limit voter fraud by summarily deleting voters who might have – as part of a clerical error – a different driver's license or social security number than was put in the database.
If legitimate, legal voters are denied access to the voting booth – we risk a repeat of 2000, in multiple states.
We must remain vigilant, not just in defense of our economy, but in defense of our rights as Americans.
I am working with my colleagues in Congress to call attention to this matter, but I encourage you to contact your state elections supervisor and demand that they allow every person who claims to be a legitimate voter to submit a provisional ballot.
There is a system in every state to deal with provisional ballots – to verify their legitimacy after the fact.
Voter caging is a threat to our (already challenged) democratic principals. Please join me and pass this email along to spread the word.

New information is showing that the 2008 election was intended to be flipped, once again. However, legal action days before the election stopped the fraud from occurring in 2008. We MUST remain vigilant and work toward the reinstatement of hand-counted paper ballots for future elections.
