Earth Healing

Beautiful beach, eh? Yes, the part you see is still intact. What I have my video camera focused on is total destruction and devastation of a sea turtle nesting beach in Costa Rica. McMansions have sprung up by the hundreds in the last three years. The local people can no longer afford to live in their own community. Fast food restaurants have squeezed out local cultural restaurants, hideous beach souvenir shops are abundant, and on and on it goes. It is so hard for me to stay peaceful and calm when all around me I see the destruction of our sacred Mother Earth and specie after specie clinging perilously to life as the very real threat of extinction bears down upon them. Talking about environmental issues is the most important dialogue we could possibly be having today. But more important than dialogue is action. I would like to open a discussion about how enlightened peace activism can bring about Earth healing. And bring it about fast.
