Profile Information

What country do you live in?
United States
What is your interest in PeaceWork?
I am interested in networking within the PeaceWork Community to bring about a new conversation for peace in world on behalf of humanity.
How long have you been involved in PeaceMaking?
I guess my whole life. However, I took a stand for Peace while in a leadership program that started the first weekend following Sept. 11.
Are you currently involved in any non-profit or volunteer work?
I am the co-founder of Where Peace Lives, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating peace through art and media. . Two schools in New Jersey displayed the first Peace Murals at the United Nations this past March at the Gandhi - King Season of Non-Violence Youth Conference. We just completed a Peace Mural in Suaz, Egypt and have just began one in Peru at a school along the Amazon.
What is your Passion? Your Purpose?
My passion is to leave this world a better place for all people. I am clear it is my devine purpose to be a stand for all children growing up free, safe and strong. That children are empowered to speak up and share their visions for the future they want to live and know that their voices will be heard.
How do any products or services you offer contribute to making the world more peaceful?
Our mission is to build bridges of cultural understanding and mutual respect through art and media projects that forward the conversation for peace. Through partnering with education associations, consulates, and global NGOs, we enroll administrators and students in the peace mural project.

Hello Jeff,

Some months ago, the unknown word mahaivi resounded in my mind at night. I took down a poem about Love and Life. And I sketched a symbol of Life. The following morning I looked up the word. It was an old Polynesian word that means "to live and be alive". We are officially launching it on 1/1/9. Please visit www.mahaivi.net and help to spread it as a universal symbol of Peace, Love and Life.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Pedro

Hello,

This afternoon my partners in Where Peace Lives dropped off paint and canvass to a couple leaving for Liberia

(Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the west coast of Africa, bordered by Sierra Leone, Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire, and the Atlantic Ocean. Liberia has a hot equatorial climate with most rainfall arriving in summer with harsh harmattan winds in the dry season. Liberia's populated Pepper Coast is comprised of mostly mangrove forests while the sparse inland is forested, later opening to a plateau of drier grasslands. Since 1989, Liberia has been in a state of flux witnessing two civil wars, the First Liberian Civil War (1989–1996), and the Second Liberian Civil War (1999–2003), displacing hundreds of thousands of people and devastating the country's economy)

The original plan was for this couple to facilitate the Where Peace Lives Conflict-Resolution and Mediation activities at a high school within a refugee camp.

However, the couple informed us that the plan has changed. They will now be working with Children Soldiers. Young people kidnapped and enslaved, then trained to kill their own people either by government forces or opposition militants.

These young people were robbed of their innocence and forced into becomming less than human by being totured and abused beyond our imagination.

The impact of conflict any where in the world is always the worst on yong people, particularly in Africa. Just two months ago there were reports of more than 7,000 young people under the age of 17 be enslaved as Children Soldiers in the conflict in Congo. The same can be said in Uganda.

And I am not certain, but is predictable this is now happening in Kenya.

And the world watches. The United Nations sends diplomats. The sides in the conflict remain entrenched in their rightgeousness.

AND THE CHILDREN SUFFER THE MOST HORRIBLE EXISTENCE.

The Where Peace Lives Conflict=Resolution and Mediation Peace Mural Project will come to late for thousands upon thousands of young people caught in conflicts without a voice and not even there screams being heard.

Perhaps together we can request the peace portal to help us establish some sort of automatic letter writing option that can be sent to the ambassadors of the United Nations, and the leaders (Presidents, Premiers., Kings and Queens) of each country, along with major media outlets. I do not have the technology knowledge to bring this about myself and am asking all of your help and guidance. And if not through mepeace.org, then who else?

Where Peace Lives can be part of the healling process for the Children Soldiers of Liberia and else where. However, I am committed to being a VOICE with all of you on behalf of all children.

Togethe we CAN stop the madness.

I look forward to your thoughts on what actions we can take right now and the plan to be create worldwide communication when new conflicts begin.

In my thoughts and prayers I ask that we create a world where children can grow up free, safe and strong. Not some day, but in our lifetime.

Thank you for your listenikng, love and partnership in making a difference on behalf of all children.

Much love and peace,
Jeff Rudy

Namaste Jeff,
Yes, we work with amazing people. I would love to make contact when we return. Currently working on an important project to us, feeding malnourished children around the world, it is an honour to be of service. Thank you. Love and blessings. Hanna

Dear Jeff!

I congratulate your peace work, and thank you adding me as a friend.
I regret to say that these days I have neither co-helpers nor time to participate in such a big programme.
I wish you to find those people who can promote and help your work also in Hungary.

Best wishes, Zsuzsanna Baka

Dear Jeff,
Welcome, welcome, welcome! Your message is inspiring & I'm delighted to know that you're on board with us!
This Peace Portal has truly warmed my heart... I feel constantly uplifted to keep hearing about all the amazing projects, so many members of this site are involved with...
I will certainly look into setting up a Peace Mural Exchange Project- in Ireland... I am a freelance drama tutor, & have worked with quite a few schools here in Cork... so I'm hopeful that we can team up... :-))
Realistically, I can give time to this in early November. Until then I am rehearsing & opening a play about refugees... & I was thinking that maybe the asylum accommodation centre might also be interested...
Jeff! - my new friend- May we be happy, may we cease to be fearful, may we live in safety, may we be at peace... I look forward to sharing any project that might bring more smiles into this world...
Big Hug From
Tracy x
