Police used tear gas and batons against lawyers protesting at President Pervez Musharraf's imposition of emergency rule and detentions, Police arrested some 400 lawyers in Lahore's High Court compound. i was arrested from the Library of Lahore High Court .
The situation in the country is uncertain. There is a strong crackdown on the press and lawyers. Majority of the judges of the Supreme Court and four High Courts have not taken oath. The Chief Justice is under house arrest (unofficially).
The president of the Supreme Court Bar, Aitzaz Ahsan and two former presidents, Muneer Malik and Tariq Mahmood have been imprisoned for one month under the Preventive Detention laws.
The president of the Lahore High Court Ahsan Bhoon and former Bar Association leader Ali Ahmed Kurd have also been arrested. The police is looking for six other lawyers, including president of Peshawar and Karachi Bar association. The president of Lahore Bar Association is also in hiding.
There are scores of other political leaders who have also been arrested.
the imposition of emergency rule, the suspension of the constitution and fundamental rights of citizens of Pakistan. Other disturbing information about attacks on human rights organisations, the detention of thousands of Lawyers , social workers, human rights and political activists without any charges or judicial trial, curbing media autonomy and illegal actions against the judiciary are some examples of the denial of civil liberties and attack on democratic space of citizens in Pakistan. State force has been used to curb expressions of dissent.
The suspension of the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 and imposition of emergency rule is indeed a tragedy for Pakistan. Such actions are ineffectual in responding to threats of terrorism and insurgency and put the people of Pakistan at greater risk of violation of their human rights. Tragically, numerous grievous violations have been documented in this period. Despite international demands no major improvement in the situation has been noticed so far.
Now i am not able to go to my Office , Police is every where and they have a free hand against Lawyer , they are sitting on our chairs in all Courts of Lahore/Pakistan.
we have no business and have many problems to feed our families.
I am also worried about my kid and family beacuse for the last 13 days no business and still have no idea how much it will take time, its bad for me and for Young Lawyers who don;t have much money to help/Support their families.
We shall be thankful if you could kindly send a Letter of Solidarity with the People of Pakistan.

I worked as a Project Lawyer (May, 2006- August 2007) British Pakistan Law Council Project Advocate Foundation (Free Legal Aid to Children in detention) Jail Visits, Juveniles’ Family coordination, Juveniles’ counseling, Representing Children in Courts Coordinating with C.P.W.B, & Social Welfare, WD and BM Department.
I have been dealing with cases of discrimination, stigmatization, and social/ professional injustices with different people including recently of HIV positive people. Because In Our Society They are considered very evil and Bad persons , because people do have one notion in their mind i.e. Sexual relationship , I have been trying to change their attitude. In Stead of Facing our hatred, They must be provided equal Opportunities in all Walks of Life.
I have Conducted lectures in Madrassas ( Islamic Religious School ) regarding HIV/AIDS, laws; occupational health and safety and protection of their fundamental rights.
I also worked for World Bank Group (International Finance Corporation) their assignment have been completed by me successfully, which has earned me great appreciation from the World Bank Group.
I offer my services to work for any Human Rights and Peace organization as a Consultant/ Representative for monitoring/ Project Assessment of their projects in Pakistan or any part of the World and providing Legal Assistance.
