From a vision of indigenous grandmothers and many hands of the multicultural Alaskan community, the large, seven-foot diameter, crystal inlaid, GrandMother Drum was built in 2000. The GrandMother Drum is traveling the world as an international symbol of the Universal Heart that connects all races and all cultures of the human family. Immediately after her birth in 2001, GrandMother Drum was invited to be the very heartbeat of Alaska's largest human rights march, the "We the People" Alaska Native Subsistence March gathering over five thousand people. Within six months, the worldwide request for her community healing work spread like a wildfire of love. The project then launched two “Ring of Fire” World Tours in Australia, traveling over twenty thousand miles throughout the country in 2002 and 2003 sharing culture, promoting cross-cultural awareness, healing and reconciliation. The project worked intimately with the Aboriginal communities in countless reconcilation gatherings with Australia’s “Stolen Generation”.

The GrandMother Drum is a living, beating symbol from the hearts of the grandmothers that we are all one people, that Mother Earth is our one country, that love is stronger than fear and that peace and freedom are the birthrights of all humanity. The drum is the centerpiece of creating celebrations that honor the unique gifts and spiritual traditions of the diverse cultures of the human family with the theme: The Heartbeat of One Family, One Earth. The dynamic multicultural performances share an explosive mix of thundering primal rhythms, irresistible music and dance.

The largest drum of its kind in the world, the GrandMother Drum took over a year to construct, and has over 1300 strips of wood, two hundred crystals inlaid in its kettle base and is covered by one giant buffalo hide. All this combined produces a phenomenal sound that not only stirs the soul, but has a tremendous healing effect on the body.

“When people of diverse cultures are beating together around a thundering seven- foot heartbeat, they get it,” says drumkeeper White Eagle, “They remember who they are and what is really important- caring, sharing and respecting one another. GrandMother Drum is electrifying-she is absolutely contagious!”

The “Ring of Fire” World Tours involve interactive performance concerts, personal and community healing ceremonies, drum making workshops, children’s storytelling, dance, ritual art, and earth healings that focus on the activation of what the grandmothers refer to as the “Ring of Fire.” This ring is a key site in the healing taking place for earth’s people over the next ten years. The project conducts special land activation’s and healings in caves and volcanic areas throughout the earth’s “Ring of Fire”.

Early in 2001, GrandMother Drum gave birth to the Baby Drum Project. Baby Drums are replicas of the giant seven- foot drum made in workshops throughout the tour. They allow people around the world to get personally involved in the project’s worldwide drumming vigils for peace. “We want to gather a Million Drums for Peace,” says drumkeeper White Eagle, “and connect our global family heartbeat to heartbeat.” Over two thousand Baby Drums have been made and sold with proceeds supporting the international travels of the GrandMother Drum. In September 2004, the GrandMother Drum set the Guiness Book of World Records for the “Largest Drum Ensemble” with over four thousand drummers drumming an intention for world peace.

After two world tours, the GrandMother Drum Project returned home to Alaska in 2004, releasing their debut CD, Journey of the Heart, at the Valentine’s Day, Big Drum, Big Love multicultural concert. Just months later the CD’s, “Traveling Song” won in the Inspirational category of the Alaska Public Radio’s Song of the Year. At home and around the world, the GrandMother Drum is known as the vibration of pure love. Her presence heals.

In January 2007, The GrandMother Drum International Peace Project launched its fourth
“Ring of Fire” World Tour with its premiere documentary film, GrandMother Drum: Awakening the Global Heart and the Soundtrack CD, Songlines of the Soul. The Project traveled from Alaska to Guatemala reuniting the people of the Americas in peace and reconciliation.

This woman claims to be of seneca descent, but has no proof, having grown up in Long Island New York. She told the Unitarian Church in Tennessee she was Jewish and Irish, so do you believe she is really trying to bring peace when she lies through her teeth and has set the Native American Nations against her, through abuse of their scared items, songs and ceremonies, using eagle feathers which have been confiscated by Fish and Wildlife.
Look for her as Fraud on the web to see how the Native Nations of North America truly feel and then determine if her goal is peace.
She is the founder of Whirling Rainbow, a 501 c 3 which has not paid its biennial taxes yet! She was having the money sent to an organization which was INVOLUNTARILY closed for non payment of taxes. And this is supposed to bring peace? Check this out, you will find it is true! The only peace she is after is a piece of peoples pockets into hers.

Onderwerp: 8.000 HEILIGE DRUMS OP 21 MAART 19.00 UUR

Hallo!

Dear Friends !!!

This initiative could change the beat of the Planet ..
Please feel invitated to send this message along to your friends .

There will be a worldwide drumcircle in motion on the spring equinox ,
21 march 2008 .
This is the forfillment of a 500 year old prophecy by the Otomi ; the decendants of Maya and Toltec People.

According to a Sacred Prophecy revealed at the Otomi Ceremonial Center by the Otomi Elder Sages as a Vision of our Venerable Ancestors,
the day when the sounds of 8,000 Sacred Drums join together
will be the beginning of the healing of Mother Earth, of all the species and the human family in order to be able to live together
on the road to Sacred Peace.

Here in the Netherlands & Belgium , that means it will take place at
19.00 o'clock. ; Plan some groupmeeting maybe ? Enjoy the HeartBeat !!

• GOOD NEWS! - 8,000 Drums Gathering
Joining indigenous people around the world
We'll join indigenous nations around the world in calling for justice - for healing.

** According to a Sacred Prophecy revealed at the Otomi Ceremonial Center by Otomi Elder Sages, the day when the sounds of 8,000 Sacred Drums join together is the beginning of the healing of Mother Earth. It is time to unify ourselves to rediscover the seeds of the Four Directions - to reactivate cosmic energy, heal historical wounds. It's time to respect life, liberty and the dignity of Our Peoples.
The first great ceremony was held March 21, 2004 in Temoaya, Mexico. Drum circles joined around the world on the Spring Equinox. This will continue each year until 2012.
Sacred Principles:
-Seal and heal the wounded vertices of Mother Earth.
-Identify and activate the Indigenous energy centers at sacred places,
this is our duty.
-Plant and strengthen consciousness of love and respect for our Mother Earth.
This is everyone's work.
-The Indigenous ancestral recommendation to create and practice our culture of
Peace and Life is fundamental.
-Recognition of the use of the energy and healing are the properties
of our sacred instruments.

8,000 DRUMS on March 21 at noon

Hi. I was contacted by my friend Gilles Novaks who is a Montagnais
Indian from Montreal. He is a Medicine Man and a Healer. He asked me to
get as many Tribal people to participate in a worldwide ceremony called
the '8,000 Drums'. He was contacted by two Huron Clan Grandmothers from
up there in Canada and they asked him to help spread the word to all
Indians everywhere. It will take place on March 21, 2008 at 12:00 noon
MEXICO TIME!! I haven't figured out the time tables yet. Maybe you can.
All you need to do is play a drum either alone, or with a group or have
the whole Tribe participate. The purpose is to fulfill the OTOMI
PROPHECY. The Otomi's are Mayan Olmec and Toltec descendants. The drums
will be played so that the Creator will hear us and grant our wishes as
we pray for help in the Healing Process of our Mother Earth. ... {P}eople
are destroying Her and our Mother Earth needs our prayers. Thank you.

Welcome White Eagle Medicine Woman,

I am Dancing Medicine Basket, a name that was given many years ago, as I was given songs and dances to carry by some of our brothers and sisters.

I too, lived in Alaska, and have stories in my heart from glaciers and forests, bears and salmon, Tlinget and Cupik, drums and friends.

I deeply respect the gift you are delivering with Grandmother Drum and welcome with all my heart, the Thousand years of Peace.
