Thank You for promotion of this site, from MC list. Maybe I will make one of those dances yet!

We had our September Dances of Universal Peace last Saturday, Sept. 22. In honor of the fact that this year Rosh Hashanah and Ramadan began on the same day, we dedicated our dance to peace in the Middle East. We did two dances inspired by the Jewish religion, and two inspired by the Muslim religion. We added one created from a Sanskrit / Hindu mantra which is said to heal the heart chakra, and balance and integrate all polarities, as a "bridge" between the two religions, and in celebration of the balancing aspects of the Autumn Equinox. (If we all operated from our hearts instead of our heads, there would be no war or other disharmony between different groups.) Then we ended with two dances which combine sacred phrases from both the Jewish and Muslim traditions. It was a lovely evening!
And then as always, we ended with a Buddhist blessing:
May all beings be well,
May all beings be happy,
Peace, Peace, Peace...
Blessings,
Cathryn
