To express the emotions of life is to live.
To express the life of emotions is to make art.

What is your interest in PeaceWork?
Peace on Earth begins in one’s own heart. Until we are at peace within, there will not be peace without. I created the Peace Pie Mandala Project in order to bring the focus of peace to the individual heart through creative expression.
How long have you been involved in PeaceMaking?
All my life, many elements invisible and on an energetic level, and others visible.
Are you currently involved in any non-profit or volunteer work?
Yes, the Peace Pie Mandala Project of which I am director of.
What is your Passion? Your Purpose?
To dream the world into a new way of peaceful existence.
How do any products or services you offer contribute to making the world more peaceful?
By planting seeds of peace. How, you ask? By providing a "How To Kit" that allows the public to bring inspiration of and conversations about peace to their community by hosting a Peace Pie Mandala Project. The process is simple, profound and, most of all, FUN! The benefits to communities at large are truly a blessing, for building a community on a common, heart-centered foundation of peace encourages the realization of peace on a global scale.
Is there anything else that you'd like us to know about you?
A life-long artist, I am a certified instructor with Creative Journal Expressive Arts, having trained with Dr. Lucia Capacchione, director of the program, in 2002-2003. I facilitate Visioning® collage playshops, using the trademarked method developed by Dr. Capacchione. These playshops are offered in my hometown of Cambria, the Central Coast of California. I am also available to travel to other areas to conduct playshops based on the expressive arts.

Art, creativity, and manifesting peace have always been a presence in my life. The very foundation of my peaceful creativity and artistic expression is based on a spiritual relationship with the earth and universe, and a desire to share this with others. I have found that healing of the body/mind/spirit occurs every time I fill myself up with 'creative food.' It is then I feel most strongly the deep peace in my heart.

My intention is to encourage others to take time for their own version of ‘creative food' as I knows from experience it will aid in overall peace, health and well-being. My motto is, "Focus on your heart center and you will find the way.”

I invite you to explore peace in your heart through the expressive arts. Tap into your Peaceful Inner Child who is closest to Source with their innocence. Nurture the seed of peace, the dream of peace, which is planted in your heart. From there peace grows and becomes visible. When collaboration and conflict merge, peace is seen. PeaceMandala.com

On Love, In Love, Am Love

Love Such a multifaceted energy Yet simple and profound at its core We need it, we run from it, we hide, we grasp, we cling, we yearn We cannot live without it Love is what created us and what sustains us We wither away when we deny its presence Love is always around us, in us, part of all that is Love brings great joy AND great sadness It is only the walls we build that give the illusion that love is not present We cannot escape from love, we can only pretend it doesn't exist I would rather… Continue

Definitions of Peace...

Please share YOUR definition of peace here on this blog. Everyone's voice counts...

Primordial.........(fundamental, primary)
Essence............(something that exists)
Awakened and...(to become conscious or aware of something)
Centrally...........(holding to a middle between extremes)
Engendered.......(to assume form)

Jennifer- sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I love your project--Yes I think it is perfect for kids. I did a mandala project with my students a few years ago. We had the amazing opportunity to watch one of the Tibetian monks make a beautiful sand mandala. That year was all about the mandala- I would be happy to share the things that I used with my students, and would welcome any and all ideas that you may have. I teach 6-12 year olds. Each year I start my peace program with a project and continue it through the year with activites that continue to enlighten the children. Thank you for including me on your friend list-- I am honored

Blessings-
In Peace,
Julie
